Today the Kingsland portion of the cycleway was completed.

It has finally happened - after months of cycling past the diggers and men in fluoro vests the brand new patch of cycleway from St Lukes Rd to almost Newton is finished. I rode in to work today but missed the opening by a couple of hours, however it was pristine and open when I rode home at 5pm. LOVELY.

  1. Looks great. It's a shame they didn't add a cycle-lane to the busway down the side of the Northern Motorway while they were spending millions building it.

I love your blog. I'll put a link on mine pointing to it.

  2. Yes, I agree, we have a sizeable share of the cycling lane pie over here in the West - very happy to use it too. Wish the Shore could say the same. . . let's hope the bridge becomes crossable sooner rather than later.

  3. Thank you for your wonderful blog. If it wasn't for reading your blog I wouldn't have realised just how many fantastic cycle paths that we have in Waitakere City. Thanks for opening our eyes. We have since had some great and safe rides on the pathways. I really enjoy reading your adventures. Thank you
